LG Reports Record-Breaking Q4 and Full-Year 2025 Results with Revenue Reaching 2.41 Trillion Baht
- LG Electronics has achieved a record annual revenue for the second consecutive year.
- The Home Appliance Solution (HS) and Vehicle Solution (VS) business segments have shown continuous growth for the 10th year since 2015, despite facing economic challenges and tax pressures in the U.S., as well as a slowdown in the electric vehicle market.
- Operating profit decreased compared to the previous year, reflecting increased strategic marketing budgets for display products and one-off costs related to organizational restructuring.
- The strategic business portfolio for growth continues to expand, particularly in B2B solutions, non-hardware businesses, and direct-to-consumer (D2C) models, with combined operating profit from the two main B2B segments, Vehicle Solution (VS) and Eco Solution (ES), reaching a new record of over 1 trillion won (approximately 27 billion baht) for the first time.
LG Electronics Co., Ltd. announced its financial results for Q4 and the entire year of 2025, reporting total revenue of 89.2 trillion won (approximately 2.41 trillion baht) and operating profit of 2.48 trillion won (approximately 66.9 billion baht).
Despite facing cost pressures related to U.S. tariffs, LG achieved a record annual revenue for the second consecutive year, with the HS segment maintaining sustainable growth and the VS segment delivering strong performance amid a slowdown in electric vehicle demand. These factors contributed significantly to the record-high revenue and a decade-long growth streak since 2015.
However, operating profit decreased compared to the previous year due to increased marketing budgets for display products amid a slower-than-expected recovery in demand and intensified market competition. Additionally, the company recognized one-off costs amounting to hundreds of billions of won in the second half of the year, primarily related to voluntary retirement programs across the organization, which are expected to enhance cost structure flexibility in the medium to long term.
LG continues to drive progress in its growth-focused business segments, centered around high-value and market-responsive business models, including B2B solutions such as automotive solutions, commercial air conditioning, and components, non-hardware businesses like the webOS platform and maintenance services, as well as D2C channels encompassing subscription models and LG online shopping. Revenue from the B2B segment increased by 3% compared to the previous year, reaching 24.1 trillion won (approximately 651 billion baht), and notably, the combined operating profit of the VS and ES segments, the two main pillars of the B2B division, exceeded 1 trillion won (approximately 27 billion baht) for the first time. Revenue from the subscription business model grew by 29% compared to the previous year, nearing 2.5 trillion won (approximately 67.5 billion baht).
Performance and Business Direction for 2025 by Business Segment
Home Appliance Solution (HS)
For the HS segment, revenue reached 26.13 trillion won (approximately 706 billion baht) with operating profit of 1.28 trillion won (approximately 34.6 billion baht), marking a record high in revenue. Operating profit increased slightly when excluding the impact of one-off costs. The HS segment demonstrated its ability to adapt to U.S. tax pressures through production efficiency improvements, pricing strategy adjustments, and cost management. For 2026, the HS segment plans to maintain growth by expanding its AI-driven appliance product line and strengthening its presence in emerging markets, while continuing to develop its portfolio in built-in appliances, component solutions, AI Home platform, and home-use robotics.
Media Entertainment Solution (MS)
In the MS segment, revenue was 19.43 trillion won (approximately 525 billion baht), with an operating loss of 750.9 billion won (approximately 20.3 billion baht), reflecting a decline compared to the previous year due to the impact of a slower-than-expected demand recovery and intense competition in the global display market. In 2026, the MS segment aims to strengthen its product offerings in both OLED and LCD, including introducing products using Micro RGB technology, while continuing to expand demand in lifestyle product markets such as StanbyME and Easy TV. Additionally, the advertising and content business on the webOS platform is expected to maintain strong growth through content investment and partnerships.
Vehicle Solution (VS)
The VS segment achieved record-high performance in both revenue and profit, with revenue of 11.14 trillion won (approximately 301 billion baht) and operating profit of 559 billion won (approximately 15.1 billion baht). This success was primarily supported by efficient delivery of outstanding orders. Despite short-term uncertainties in global automotive demand due to macroeconomic fluctuations, the VS segment plans to strengthen collaborations with automotive manufacturers (OEMs) and improve operational efficiency to maintain profit stability while advancing capabilities in future automotive solutions, such as software-driven vehicles (SDVs) and AI-driven vehicles (ADVs).
Eco Solution (ES)
In the ES segment, revenue reached 9.32 trillion won (approximately 252 billion baht) with operating profit of 647.3 billion won (approximately 17.5 billion baht), showing revenue growth compared to the previous year and a slight increase in operating profit when excluding one-off costs. In 2026, demand for high-efficiency solutions, particularly heat pumps using environmentally friendly refrigerants, is expected to grow significantly in international markets. The ES segment will continue to seek business opportunities in cooling systems for AI-driven data centers, promoting the commercial use of liquid cooling technology, and expanding collaborations to develop immersion cooling solutions.
